Guns and Bread

Dear Diary,

I am listening to G&R right now and it is so fuggin' fantastic. I feel like I've been reacquainted with my high school crush. For those of yous in NYC, if you haven't already, be sure to check out Cakeshop on Ludlow (right before you hit Rivington, a couple of doors down from Piano's). They are a cafe/ record store/ bar. Haven't been a drinkin' at the bar part yet but I recommend the hole in the wall cd section. That's where i scored my used $8 G&R Greatest Hits and I have been happy ever since. Seriously, it's not like they are trying to be Kim's or OM or anything. If anything, they are filling in a niche where real people can't afford to drop like, $100000 on a mediocre record. Well, so maybe Cakeshop might have some out of date, mediocre records but at least they aren't lying and charging $2000000.

Ok, subject #2 (which brings us to the bread part):
I realized today that I spend about $10-12/weekday on food (and that's if I'm doing well and eating whatever junk i have at the apt.). That adds up to around $350/ month on food and this is all really off the top of my head so I haven't even thought about groceries... AW, the point is, this is an exorbitant amount and really peeves me because I could be buying so many cute shoes and nice clothes at I Heart!!! So I'm going to try to bring my lunch to work (www.harrisoutdoorgroup.com!!! no joke!!!!!!!!) and I don't know, just eat less I guess.
Because for instance, $350 could buy me roughly 2 of these:

Now, I caved in already and bought them yesterday even though I can't afford them but see, maybe if i stopped eating so expensively I wouldn't have to worry about buying cute-ass shoes.
Thoughts? If any of you out there have any tips, well, I am soliciting and am eager to hear.

Thanks!

Yours truly,
t.
